John WALSH and Bridget GARVIN were the parents of ten children born between 1867 - 1887. The births of the children have been documented in the Irish Civil Records. Six of the siblings marriages and deaths have been discovered. Three a photograph has been found - Thomas, Bridget, and Anthony Joseph. Thomas is the eldest and Anthony Joseph the youngest children of the family. It is surprising the resemblance of the two brothers whose age span was twenty years. Or is it the similar bushy mustaches which enhance the likeness? Thomas was in his late thirties when his photo was taken in 1904. Anthony appears to be in his mid to late twenties. These appear to be studio photos.
The only photograph of Bridget WALSH McHALE, child number seven, is from her 80th birthday party. This photo was taken outdoors in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S. Bridget married, had three daughters but no grandchildren. There is a photo of the above Thomas WALSH, her brother, in 1946 when he is 78. This photo was taken in 1946 at the funeral of his wife Anne DONNELLY WALSH, Piedmont, West Virginia, U.S. It is difficult to see any resemblance in these two siblings. The settings may be a factor.
